At Goldfinch we see so much value in co-creating, making together. Our workshops are aimed at strengthening the bond between people through craft. All the workshops are designed so that a small child can be involved as well as a grandparent. One of the favourite activities in our workshops is dropping liquid watercolour onto a wet page and watching it flow across, blending with other colours. The older members help to trace shapes, cut finer detail and sometimes use some of the stronger glues not suitable for kids. In the end it’s fantastic to see what can be made together.
In this workshop, making Blue Tits, all we needed was liquid water colour, watercolour paper, a circle punch, scissors and prit! We added natural found elements, including moss, twigs and leaves to a paper mache nest to complete our blue tit art project. Popping the balloon was also a big hit as you can imagine!
