Create and Play
For 1.5–5 year-olds
These sessions are designed for parents and their children to enjoy together. For children under 3, we ask that you stay and co-create with your little ones. For ages 3 and over, you’re welcome to stay and join in or relax in the café downstairs—whatever helps your child feel most comfortable.

Children will have the freedom to explore and create, inspired by nature. Whether through painting, playdough, sculpting, messy play, collage, or big-scale group art.
Create and Play is about having fun, creating together, and developing listening skills as well as a connection to the natural world through craft.

Holiday Create and Play for under 5's
Our holiday Create and Play 1 hour sessions run on Friday mornings at 9 30 and 11 am. Create and Play is about having fun, creating together, and developing listening skills as well as a connection to the natural world through craft.

Create and Play is on: Mondays at 11am, Tuesdays at 9:30am and 11am, Wednesdays at 11am, and Fridays at 9:30am and 11am. School term time only.

Meet our teachers
At the heart of Goldfinch Create and Play is our inspiring team. We have a diverse range of artistic skills, backgrounds, and life experiences.
Our sessions are run by our experienced creatives who share a passion for nurturing and inspiring children through art, craft, and nature.
What they'll take away:
- A fun and creative bonding experience in a relaxed environment
- Learn about colour, shape, vocabulary, drawing, painting and joining
- Improve fine motor and pre-writing skills
- Connect and socialise - there’s time for the adults as well as the children!
Every term we have a brand-new focus, so you can continue to enjoy creating new art through the year as the seasons change.
What’s provided: All materials and art aprons.
What to wear: Dress for mess! We’ll provide art aprons for very messy art.
Dates and times: Create and Play sessions runs on week days in terms from September to July. See the schedule below for details.
We also offer some ‘Holiday Create and Play’ sessions during the school holidays and on certain bank holidays check our events calendar for upcoming holiday sessions.
