May Half Term Holiday Art Club Collage

Inspired by the work of Eric Carl, this day is all about experimenting with collage. Children will create their own patterned paper to tear and cut and add to the variety of art materials to create their collages. We’ll have games and sensory tuff trays set up for a variety of fun activities between making.

Dates: Thursday 29th May
Time: 10am – 3pm
Cost: £50 per child / sibling discounts available

For ages 4 – 7 years

What they’ll take away:

What they’ll get up to:

10am – 10 30am
Make a name badge/art icebreakers
After introductions, we’ll be using pastels, cardboard, vinyl and sharpies to spark their creativity.

10 30am – 11 30am
Collage portrait
Create fabulous faces, people, animals, whatever they can think of. Using exciting collage materials and layering the children will be guided through this really fun creative activity.

11 30 – 12 00 SNACK TIME

12 – 1pm
Dress up characters
They’ll use the fabric, coloured paper and sequence to create outfits for paper people.

1pm – 1 30pm LUNCH

1:30pm – 2 30pm
Owl Collage
All the materials and guidance they will need to create fabulous collage owls to take and hang at home!

2 30pm – 3pm
We’ll be bringing out our famous tuff trays for playdough, printing and play!

What to Wear:

We encourage participants to dress comfortably and be prepared for a bit of messiness. However, worry not, as we will provide art aprons to ensure that everyone stays clean and tidy.

Lunch and snacks

Bring along a packed lunch, snacks and water bottle, no nuts please. Alternatively you are welcome to order a Pinkmans lunch box when you arrive in the morning, it includes a cheese or ham sandwich, raisins and a juice box.
