Summer Holiday Art Club Collage

Inspired by the work of Eric Carl, this day is all about experimenting with collage. Children will create their own patterned paper to tear and cut and add to the variety of art materials to create their collages. We’ll have games and sensory tuff trays set up for a variety of fun activities between making.

Time: 10am – 3pm

10am – 10 30am
Make a name badge/art icebreakers
After introductions, we’ll be using pastels, cardboard, vinyl and sharpies to spark their creativity.

10 30am – 11 30am
Collage Ocean scenes
Inspired by our oceans, children will first create water colour paper to tear up and use in combination with coloured card and fabric to create a collage ocean scene.

11 30 – 12 00 SNACK TIME

12 – 1pm
Collage ocean animals
First they’ll draw their underwater animals and then replicate their drawings through collage, by cutting, tearing and sticking!

1pm – 1 30pm LUNCH

1:30pm – 2 30pm
Hole punch creature cards
Create neon coloured animals using all our popular shaped hole punches. Cut the shapes and reconfigure. Our art materials will be paper, scissors, glue sticks and vinyl

2 30pm – 3pm
We’ll be bringing out our famous tuff trays for playdough, printing and play!

What to Wear:

We encourage participants to dress comfortably and be prepared for a bit of messiness. However, worry not, as we will provide art aprons to ensure that everyone stays clean and tidy.

Lunch and snacks

Bring along a packed lunch, snacks and water bottle, no nuts please. Alternatively you are welcome to order a Pinkmans lunch box when you arrive in the morning, it includes a cheese or ham sandwich, raisins and a juice box.
