Easter Holiday Art Club Paper Crafts

The focus of this holiday art club is on sculpture through paper, we use various techniques to turn 2D paper into 3D forms.We’ll have some fun easter themed paper crafts to explore, including creating a paper orb easter egg!

Session Information:

Dates: Thursday 10th April
Time: 10am – 3pm
Cost: £50 per child / sibling discounts available

For ages 5 – 10 years

What they’ll take away:

• • Split pin creatures that move
  • Paper orb easter eggs
  • 3D Paper ornaments to hang
  • Paper playground or easter garden

What they’ll get up to:

10am – 10 30am
Make a name badge/art icebreakers
After introductions, we’ll be using pastels, cardboard, vinyl and sharpies to spark their creativity.

10 30am – 11 30am
Split pin creatures that move
Inspired by Clare Youngs, the children will explore pattern making on card.
They will then draw and cut animals or abstract creations that move with split pins.

11 30am – 12pm SNACK TIME

12pm – 1pm
Paper Orbs
Turning 2D paper into a 3D orb with simple fold and stick techniques, we’ll also have some time to learn a few basic origami techniques.

1pm – 1 30pm LUNCH

1 30pm – 2pm
3D Paper ornaments
Using folding techniques the children will be guided through the steps to create birds, turtles, or any animal they can think of. They’ll have a handmade paper ornament to hang at home.

2pm – 3pm
Paper playground
Using various paper fold techniques we’ll show the children how to create and exciting playground or garden with all the elements they’d like to play on.

What to Wear:

We encourage participants to dress comfortably and be prepared for a bit of messiness. However, worry not, as we will provide art aprons to ensure that everyone stays clean and tidy.

Lunch and snacks

Bring along a packed lunch, snacks and water bottle, no nuts please. Alternatively you are welcome to order a Pinkmans lunch box when you arrive in the morning, it includes a cheese or ham sandwich, raisins and a juice box.
