10am – 10.30am: Make a Printed Wooden Badge Icebreaker

After introductions, children will design and create their own wearable wooden badge using stencils and acrylic pens. They can personalise their piece with patterns, symbols or initials—something that represents them or could be gifted to a new friend. This gentle, creative activity helps everyone settle in, start conversations and feel part of the group.

10.30am – 11.30am: Illustrated Concertina Story

Children will create their own illustrated concertina fold-out book, telling a simple visual story across a sequence of panels. They might follow a journey, such as a day in the life of a creature or an adventure through different worlds. They’ll explore storytelling using the art medium of their choice, creating a beautiful interactive artwork that can be displayed or read.

11.30am – 12pm: Snack Time

12pm – 1pm: Concertina Book Continued

Children will continue developing their fold-out storybooks, adding colour, detail, characters, backgrounds and finishing touches to each panel.

1pm – 1.30pm: Lunch

1.30pm – 2pm: Sticker Sheet Illustration

Children will design their own illustrated sticker-style sheet filled with small drawings, characters, objects, icons or themed elements such as ocean creatures, space shapes, animals or food. They’ll focus on bold outlines, simple shapes and playful repetition, then colour and cut them out to create their own sticker collection.

2pm – 3pm: Pattern & Postcard Illustration

Children will design a small illustrated postcard or repeating pattern using motifs like animals, plants or abstract shapes. They’ll experiment with colour, layout and repetition, creating postcards that can be gifted or displayed.
