May Half Term Holiday Art Club – Jewellery Making Magic!

Looking for a creative, calm and confidence-boosting day for your child this May Half Term? Our Jewellery Making Holiday Art Club is perfect for children who love colour, creativity and crafting something they can proudly wear home.

Across the day, children will explore the art of jewellery design, learning new techniques, experimenting with materials and creating beautiful handmade pieces. From mindful macramé knotting to vibrant friendship bracelets and eco-friendly paper beads, this workshop blends creativity, design and hands-on making in a relaxed, supportive environment.

It’s a joyful day of crafting, chatting and creating,  with plenty of opportunities for self-expression and imaginative design.

Time: 10am – 3pm
Cost: £50 per child (sibling discounts available)
Ages: 5 – 10 years

What they’ll take home:

• A macramé bracelet or necklace
• A handmade paper-beaded jewellery piece
• One (or more!) colourful friendship bracelets

What they’ll get up to:

10am – 10:30am | Welcome & Creative Warm Up
Children will create their own name badge and take part in fun art icebreakers using pastels, cardboard, vinyl and sharpies to spark ideas and build confidence.

10:30am – 11:30am | Macramé Jewellery
We’ll introduce simple knotting techniques to create beautiful rope bracelets or necklaces. Children will learn an easy braided knot (no tricky steps!) and finish their piece with a satisfying magnetic clasp. A wonderful introduction to mindful making.

11:30am – 12pm | Snack Break

12pm – 1pm | Paper Beaded Jewellery
Children will transform recycled magazines into colourful, hand-rolled beads. It’s a brilliant way to explore sustainability while creating unique jewellery pieces full of character and colour.

1pm – 1:30pm | Lunch

1:30pm – 3pm | Friendship Bracelets
With a wide selection of beads, threads and charms, children will design and create personalised friendship bracelets. This session encourages creativity, pattern-making and joyful sharing as they swap ideas and admire each other’s designs.

What to Wear:

Please dress comfortably and be prepared for creative play. We provide art aprons, but we recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy.

Lunch and Snacks

Please bring a packed lunch, snacks and a water bottle (no nuts please). Alternatively, you can order a Pinkmans lunch box on arrival; it includes a cheese or ham sandwich, raisins or pom bears and a juice box.
