May Half Term Holiday Art Club Printmaking

Children will explore using different print techniques on both paper and fabric. From block printing to exploring with stencils, foam and string. Each workshop is unique, we’re looking forward to seeing their printing creations!

Session Information:

Dates: Tuesday 27th May
Time: 10am – 3pm
Cost: £50 per child / sibling discounts available

For ages 5 – 10 years

What they’ll take away:

What they’ll get up to:

10am – 10 30am
Make a name badge/art icebreakers
After introductions, we’ll be using pastels, cardboard, vinyl and sharpies to spark their creativity.

10 30am – 11 30am
Stencil prints
The children will create their own stencils to overlay and create a puzzle effect. Anything from flowers in a vase, a bowl of fruit, or abstract shapes. Its up to them to decide the stencils they’d like to make.

11 30am – 12pm SNACK TIME

12pm – 1pm
String prints
During this great activity children will be drawing with string, next they will ink up their string stamps and transfer onto paper. They’ll create A5 card prints to take home!

1pm – 1 30pm LUNCH

1 30pm – 2pm
Posca foil prints
This is a new printing technique we’ve developed. Create exciting prints on foil with Poscas and then transfer onto card! Add more colours and shapes and stamp again and again!

2pm – 3pm
Stencil printing on t-shirts
Children can choose from a variety of beautiful pre-made stencils or create their own. They will be guided through the process to finalise their designs and finally transfer onto t-shirts.

What to Wear:

We encourage participants to dress comfortably and be prepared for a bit of messiness. However, worry not, as we will provide art aprons to ensure that everyone stays clean and tidy.

Lunch and snacks

Bring along a packed lunch, snacks and water bottle, no nuts please. Alternatively you are welcome to order a Pinkmans lunch box when you arrive in the morning, it includes a cheese or ham sandwich, raisins and a juice box.
