Easter Holiday Art Club Printmaking

Our holiday club is a super creative full day session where the kids will learn various print techniques. We have recently purchased a print press, adding an exciting hands on activity to our already popular print workshop for kids.

What they’ll take away:

• • A day of experimenting with stencil, string and block printing
  • Printed Easter Cards
  • Easter basket printed with hand cut block
  • Tote bag with hand made stencil design

Age Requirement:

5 – 10 years

Session Information:

Dates: Wednesday 9th April
Time: 10am – 3pm
Cost: £50 per child / sibling discounts available

What they’ll get up to:

10am – 10 30am
Make a name badge/art icebreakers
After introductions, we’ll be using pastels, cardboard, vinyl and sharpies to spark their creativity.

10 30am – 11 30am
Stencil prints
The children will create their own stencils to overlay and create a puzzle effect. Anything from flowers in a vase, a bowl of fruit, or abstract shapes. Its up to them to decide the stencils they’d like to make.

11 30am – 12pm SNACK TIME

12pm – 1pm
String prints
During this great activity children will be drawing with string, next they will ink up their string stamps and transfer onto paper.

1pm – 1 30pm LUNCH

1 30pm – 2pm
Scrap stamp shapes
Using bubble wrap, foil, cling wrap and other household materials the children will create stamps to explore pattern making on cards.

2pm – 3pm
Block printing on t-shirts
Each child will be given foam and a block to create a stamp that will be used to make a repeat pattern on their very own tshirt!

What to Wear:

We encourage participants to dress comfortably and be prepared for a bit of messiness. However, worry not, as we will provide art aprons to ensure that everyone stays clean and tidy.

Lunch and snacks

Bring along a packed lunch, snacks and water bottle, no nuts please. Alternatively you are welcome to order a Pinkmans lunch box when you arrive in the morning, it includes a cheese or ham sandwich, raisins and a juice box.
