Watercolours October Half Term Holiday Art Club

A day to play with watercolour. From watercolour bat and fox masks to collage owls, watercolour is the perfect art medium for a calm and mindful creative day! Potion play to end off is everyone’s favourite!

Time: 10am – 3pm
Cost: £50 per child / sibling discounts available

For ages 4 – 7 years

What they’ll take away:

What they’ll get up to:

10 00am- 10 30am
Make a spooky badge/art icebreakers
After introductions, we’ll be using pastels, cardboard, vinyl and sharpies to spark their creativity.

10 30am – 11 30am
Framed watercolour bat/fox/owl
Get to grips with watercolours, experiment and play. Then it’s time to draw! We’ll have books on offer with all the animals that hibernate. Children can draw and paint bats, badgers or owls. Of course these are just on offer, if they’d like to paint a different animal they are free to. Finally we’ll add a frame!

11 30am – 12pm SNACK TIME

12pm – 1pm
Watercolour owl collage
Colourful watercolour experiments to make amazing collage owls! Cut the painted paper into different shapes for feathers, wings, and eyes, then layer and glue them together to build your owl. The mix of bright colours and swirling patterns from their watercolour art will make each owl look unique and full of character, a perfect way to turn your painting experiments into something new and creative!

1 30pm – 2 30pm
Watercolour masks
We’ll have a wonderful selection of animal templates ready to paint, foxes, bats, and owls will all be on offer! Choose a favourite creature and bring it to life with bright colours, patterns, and creative details. Make your fox fiery orange, your bat spooky and dark, or your owl full of magical shades. With paints, brushes, and plenty of imagination, create your very own animal masterpiece to take home and wear!

2 30pm – 3pm
Potion Play
Our tuff tray will be out with all things spooky to explore and create magic potions!

What to Wear:

We encourage participants to dress comfortably and be prepared for a bit of messiness. However, worry not, as we will provide art aprons to ensure that everyone stays clean and tidy.

Lunch and snacks

Bring along a packed lunch, snacks and water bottle, no nuts please. Alternatively you are welcome to order a Pinkmans lunch box when you arrive in the morning, it includes a cheese or ham sandwich, raisins and a juice box.
