Watercolour Stories
Focusing on illustration techniques, utilising watercolour, the teens created a series of images that convey an emotive narrative within a handcrafted concertina book.
Throughout this process, we allow our students to take the lead, fostering an environment where their imaginations can thrive. By providing a relaxed, calm, and friendly atmosphere, we encourage them to chat, share stories, and showcase their artwork.
This strengthens their self-confidence and boosts their creative abilities. Have a look at some of their fabulous watercolour embroidery work from last term too!
Next up: Gelli plate and Cyanotype printing
The teens will be learning all about different print techniques, from stamps to lino printing and stencil to Cyanotype. Their confidence in learning each new print technique will allow them to experiment and take home a variety of print artworks on mixed media paper and fabric.
